Out of the many kratom strains on the market, I and many others have found something unique and powerful about Red Bali kratom which keeps us glued to it.
Despite the many (many) other strains I’ve tried, few have been so reliably effective for pain relief, stress and general mood boosting. And as a bonus: it’s pretty affordable.
For these, and many other, reasons, this strain has earned itself a permanent place in my home.
Below, we’ll review Red Bali and provide you all the information you need to decide if this strain should warrant a permanent spot in your cabinet as well.
To give you some background:
The Red Vein Bali you receive comes from Bali kratom leaves with reddish-colored veins and stems. Its red vein coloration is due to plant genetics and environmental conditions during the growing process and is largely responsible for the sedative, stress/anxiety relieving and pain relieving effects this strain provides.
But before we move on…
Are you looking for a stimulating kratom that will give you the energy to get up and run around the block on a whim? If so, Red Bali is probably not the right the kratom for you — white vein or Maeng da strains would be a better choice.
The effects of this strain are often sedating, and could better be compared to stepping into a hot tub than downing a cup of coffee.
Perhaps you came here after hearing about Red Bali’s powerful pain relieving and anti-stress effects; the truth is that these effects are only a small portion of what this plant can do.
One often overlooked feature of this plant is the strong sense of contentment and optimism it can provide, which can be particularly effective for those who are dealing with stressful life situations.
It is these qualities which have made Red Bali such a “household strain” for many new and experienced kratom users alike.
Because of these effects, Red Bali is common choice for people suffering from anxiety and stress. You can find numerous reports of users who have found success using Red Vein Bali to help regulate their less helpful emotions and relieve the stress and tenseness accumulated throughout the day.
But that’s just scratching the surface..
If you have problems with insomnia or if you’ve had trouble getting to sleep with other types of kratom, Red Bali should come as a welcome relief, as its sedative properties have proven great for easing the transition between wakeful life and sleep.
Before we continue, I want to make clear that Red Bali may not be the ideal strain for everyone all the time.
Its sedative effects make this strain generally better to avoid when large amounts of energy are required (unless otherwise required for pain, stress or anxiety). That said, everyone is affected slightly differently, and it is a fantastic strain to keep on hand in case it is needed.
Anyone who knows me knows my general preference for CK’s RVB. After dealing with a particularly painful and not-so-fun appendectomy, this stuff was more or less powdered gold to me, and made going through my daily routine much more bearable.
Alongside that, I’ve used it pretty regularly for end-of-day unwinding as well as to improve my sleep with great results. Although I can only truly speak for myself, many others I’ve spoken with have had similar experiences.
So why are Red Bali’s effects so promising for pain, stress and anxiety?
Red Bali kratom has more than 25 alkaloids with high levels of both mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OHM), as well as 9-hydroxycorynantheidine (painkiller), mitraphylline (muscle relaxer, immune stimulant), and speciogynine (smooth muscle relaxer), making it a particularly potent strain for pain relief and muscle relaxation.
Although all the other alkaloids play a part in the character of this strain, it is the relatively high levels of 7-OHM make this strain so uniquely effective for pain relief.
One thing you should remember with any Bali kratom is that it can give a side effect known as “the wobbles” if too much is taken at once.
The “wobbles” is best described as a feeling of slight dizziness which can make it hard to quickly focus your eyes. This can easily be avoided by starting with a low dose (1 – 3.5 grams), which is typically good practice when using kratom in general!
As with other types of kratom, the onset of this strain can take between 15 and 45 minutes, usually depending on whether you’ve recently eaten or not. The effects can last for several hours if you take a small dose (typically less than 4 grams), and up to 5 to 8 hours for larger dose.
Overall, Red Bali Vein kratom is an excellent choice for pain relief, sedation, anxiety relief, easier sleep and achieving a general feeling of well-being. If these are the effects you are looking for, Red Bali is likely the right strain for you.
