Because of all the beneficial effects of kratom, psychological and physical, many people overlook how surprisingly effective using kratom for weight loss can be. Unlike many of the risky diet pills that are going around, kratom is entirely natural and can have other beneficial impacts on your health.
Sadly, a large portion of the population, especially in the United States, is overweight or obese. For many, being overweight or obese has proven to have some very nasty effects on well-being and health in general, from both a physical and psychological standpoint. Even those who aren’t overweight or obese may feel better or more confident by shedding a few extra lbs, and for these purposes, using kratom for weight loss is quite effective.
Kratom works to reduce weight through several means, both directly and indirectly, which make it quite unique in comparison to many other supplements for weight loss. Some of these include: appetite suppression, craving reduction, both directly and indirectly through it’s increased potency when used on an empty stomach.
As most kratom users can attest, many strains of kratom can have appetite suppressing effects. The appetite suppression from kratom is fairly noticeable after a few uses, and further on we will talk about what strains are best for this purpose. Unlike some diet pills, the appetite suppression from kratom shouldn’t sour your stomach or cause negative side effects, you simply just don’t feel as hungry as you used to, making it fairly easy for some users not to notice until they have dropped a few pounds.
In our society, many types of food have taken on addictive proportions. These include: fast food, sweets such as candy or pastries, or refined carbohydrates. Many have noticed that in addition to the appetite suppression from kratom, they simply don’t crave the same sugar, fat or carb laden foods they once did. When I started kratom, my diet changed fairly dramatically without any conscious effort. The reason for this is that the alkaloids in kratom can trigger the brain’s reward pathways, essentially substituting it for the reward zones pleasured by these unhealthy foods.
Something that many have remarked on, and it is true with myself as well, is the fact that kratom works better on an empty stomach. If you are taking kratom regularly, you are sure to notice that without any willpower, you are to some extent, more or less subconsciously spacing your meals in order to get the full beneficial effect from kratom, reducing the amount of food you eat overall.
Because kratom is quite effective, those who are already thin should not take kratom too regularly, or if they do, make a conscious effort to eat more.
There are a few factors that can dramatically contribute to how effective kratom is for weight loss. The two most important of these factors include: Strains and types and dosage.
For those who want to achieve the best benefits from using kratom, you need to pick the right strains. From our experience the best strains for this purpose are Thai, Maeng Da, and white vein strains. Overall, Thai strains tend to be the most effective at appetite suppression due to their stimulating/energtic properties.
Maeng Da can also be highly effective, however, this varies from vendor to vendor and product to product, as some maeng da are more stimulating and others more sedating. White vein strains, while not as potently stimulating as Thai, can cause appetite suppression without the intense energy that the other two strains often cause, making it better for more regular use.
If using kratom for weight loss is your primary goal, we suggest you avoid red veins, indo strains, borneo strains and bali strains, as they often tend to be more sedating, which can actually cause temporarily increased appetite. With regular use, however, this disappears. Although the temporarily increased appetite tends to go away, they are still less effective than the above mentioned strains for weight loss.
Dosage is another key factor when it comes to weight loss. However, the ideal dosage can vary from person to person, as each individual has a unique makeup. Typically, the best dosage for weight loss is “moderate”, however, testing it out yourself is necessary to get the best results. Below is a simplified guide to dosage.
The best advice is to start fairly low when trying out kratom or a new strain for the first time. This will help avoid overdoing it and give you a decent idea of what your perfect dosages is.
Dosage frequency is another important factor which shouldn’t be overlooked. If you are looking to use kratom regularly for this purpose, you should note that strains such as Maeng Da and Thai tend to increase tolerance faster, which can have negative results.
Although we suggest using kratom on an as-needed basis, some may choose otherwise. If you do intend on regular use, we suggest white vein strains, as they are potent, yet physically mild enough to avoid most negative effects of tolerance and the potential withdrawal symptoms that can accompany abrupt cessation after daily use for long periods. As an additional bonus, many users have found white vein strains to have an anti-depressant effect.
Using kratom for weight loss is a novel and surprisingly effective technique, and if done correctly, we are sure you will see good results.

With current legislation pending, it seems kratom may no longer be legal in the United States. Although we haven't sold kratom directly in over a year, this legislation will negatively impact hundreds of thousands throughout the country. Please contact your local congressmen.
